1 Timothy 2:1-8
1. First of all… Pray that President Bush would have a deeper and more intimate relationship with our Lord, and he that would excel in Christ’s School of Prayer.
2. Pray for his protection and safety as al Qaeda has made death treats against him.
3. Ask for godly wisdom and insight as he meets with the leaders of Middle East & his role as Christ’s ambassador to the nations. (Please refer to the details of his Jan. 9-16 Middle East tour schedule below.)
4. Pray for a White House policy that would promote lasting peace and security for the Middle East and Central Asia, including Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
5. Ask for the Spirit’s leading as the President of the United States & the Commander In Chief of our military during his final and most important year in office.

May God raise up leaders in the United States and Israel who would support His end-time purposes for the people of Israel.
THE PRESIDENT'S MIDDLE EAST ITINERARY
January 9 - President Bush arrives in Tel Aviv in the afternoon. The President changed the itinerary of his trip late this week in order to fit in a visit to Capernaum, the Christian holy site.
January 9, 10 - On Wednesday and Thursday, while in Israel and the West Bank, (Judea and Samaria) the President will have meetings with Israeli President Peres and Prime Minister Olmert, and separately with Palestinian President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad.
January 11 - On Friday, the President will meet with Quartet representative Tony Blair to get an update on efforts to help build the institutions of a Palestinian state and enhance the Palestinian capacity to self-govern. The President will also lay a wreath at the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem before traveling to Kuwait, where he will meet with Amir Sabah.
January 12 - On Saturday, President Bush will visit with U.S. troops at Camp Arifjan (Kuwait). He will meet with Ambassador Crocker and General Petraeus to get an update on the current situation in Iraq. Also, the President will have a roundtable on democracy and development with Kuwaiti women. The President will then travel to Bahrain, where he will meet with King Hamad.
January 13 - On Sunday, President Bush will visit the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet before traveling to the United Arab Emirates, where he will meet with President Khalifa. Following this meeting, President Bush will deliver a speech in Abu Dhabi. In that speech, he will talk about the progress we have seen in the Gulf, the progress of the freedom agenda in the region, emerging economic progress, and how regional security is important for both continued economic growth and for the spread of freedom.
January 14 - On Monday, President Bush will travel to Dubai, where he will be greeted by the ruler of Dubai. President Bush will then travel to Saudi Arabia, where he will meet with King Abdullah.
January 15 - On Tuesday, President Bush will be in Riyadh for meetings.
January 16 - On Wednesday, President Bush will travel to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where he will meet with President Mubarak. The President will depart Sharm el-Sheikh on Wednesday January 16 in the afternoon en route to Andrews Air Force Base.

Our intercession for President Bush and the leaders of Israel & Arab nations will be heard by the LORD and He will move the nations! We must increase our prayers for our President during this final year in office. Let us begin by sending him to the Middle East (Jan.9 -16) as Christ's ambassador and properly applying 1 Timothy 2:1-8. Our prayers have placed George W. Bush in the White House. Our prayers will enable him to be effective in the Kingdom of God.

President Bush’s Trip to Israel January 8
On January 8, President Bush makes his first Presidential trip to Israel (the last was by Bill Clinton in 1998), followed by stops on January 9-16 in Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt to promote talks launched at a peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland, late last month. The 44-country gathering culminated with an Israeli-Palestinian commitment to restart stalled talks with an eye on creating an independent Palestinian state by late 2008. Talks in Jerusalem with Israel’s President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olbmert will focus on the Iranian nuclear threat. In the West Bank, he will meet with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. Intercessors have reason for concern in that , while in Ramallah, the President’s will be members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the military wing of Fatah listed by the State Department as a terrorist organization.
The Jerusalem Prayer Team is working on 100,000 signatures to a petition opposing any support for the “Road Map to Peace”, a document created by Saudi Arabia to divide Jerusalem, take Judea and Samaria from Israel, push Israel back to the pre-1967 border and proclaim a Palestinian-Islamic State with East Jerusalem – the home to all Christian holy sites – as its capital.

A Greater Resolve in 2008
Grateful for 2007 & Greater Resolve in 2008
Prayer Surge Now (PSN) was launched in May 2007 when military and political situation in Iraq seemed beyond hope. As you recall, in unison the insurgency and al Qaeda were terrorizing the innocent and the international coalition was about to be driven out. Together, Iran and Syria were gaining greater influence and stronghold in Iraq. Many in the media and the majority of our politicians were claiming defeat for America and the newly formed government of Iraq.
Along with hundreds for other intercessory ministries all across the globe, PSN and coalition of intercessors began to contend for heaven on earth in Iraq and beyond. Together as ONE, we began to apply 1 Chronicles 7:14, 1 Timothy 2:1-8 & Psalm 33:12-22 and witnessed God's merciful and powerful response. Let us pause and thank God for His Mighty Arm of Salvation among the nations!
This year has been the launching pad of what the LORD has poised to do for centuries in the ancient Bible Lands. As we continue With Christ in the School of Prayer in 2008, we will witness the move of God's Spirit like in the days of Moses, David, Paul, Luther, Wesley, Lincoln and Howells. He longs to fulfill the His promise in Isaiah 19:23-25 and bring the Muslims and the Jews under the Lordship of His Son. We, as American intercessors, will play a key role in touching the Father's Heart in ushering the Greatest Revival in both the Middle East and North America.

As Thursday was just beginning in the Western part of the world—in Rawalpindi, an afternoon rally by former Pakistani Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, was tragically cut short as Bhutto was shot and killed, getting into her car. Known as the first female leader of a Muslim nation in modern history, Bhutto was assassinated just moments before a suicide bomber then blew himself up, killing at least 20 more people.The distressing incident triggered a state of "Red Alert" throughout Pakistan, and will not only affect the country's upcoming elections, but could also rock surrounding nations, as well as impacting the American presidential campaigns and the War on Terror. "We didn't celebrate like this in the past two years as we were holding limited celebrations for relatives in an atmosphere filled with fear. Now we feel better as we see all these security forces in the streets to protect us." (Iraq)
The AP reports that thousands of Iraqi Christians crowded into Baghdad churches on Tuesday to celebrate Christmas. "The number of attacks in Iraq, in general, has fallen dramatically in the past few months—the U.S. military says by 60 percent since June—and the country's small Christian community took advantage of the lower violence to turn out in numbers unthinkable a year ago," the report noted.
William Jalal, was quoted as saying this Christmas was clearly different. "We didn't celebrate like this in the past two years as we were holding limited celebrations for relatives in an atmosphere filled with fear. Now we feel better as we see all these security forces in the streets to protect us." At one Chaldean Catholic church, Sunni and Shiite Muslim clerics attended the service, reportedly in a sign of unity.
"May Iraq be safe every year, and may our Christian brothers be safe every year," said Shiite cleric Hadi al-Jazail. "We came to celebrate with them and to reassure them. This national gathering is beautiful against the sectarian fighting, and God willing from this lesson we'll all pray for peace."

The AP reports that thousands of Iraqi Christians crowded into Baghdad churches on Tuesday to celebrate Christmas. "The number of attacks in Iraq, in general, has fallen dramatically in the past few months—the U.S. military says by 60 percent since June—and the country's small Christian community took advantage of the lower violence to turn out in numbers unthinkable a year ago," the report noted.
William Jalal, was quoted as saying this Christmas was clearly different. "We didn't celebrate like this in the past two years as we were holding limited celebrations for relatives in an atmosphere filled with fear. Now we feel better as we see all these security forces in the streets to protect us." At one Chaldean Catholic church, Sunni and Shiite Muslim clerics attended the service, reportedly in a sign of unity.
"May Iraq be safe every year, and may our Christian brothers be safe every year," said Shiite cleric Hadi al-Jazail. "We came to celebrate with them and to reassure them. This national gathering is beautiful against the sectarian fighting, and God willing from this lesson we'll all pray for peace."
