Paul to Timothy:
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth... I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
In the spirit of 1 Timothy 2:1-4 & 8, let us join our hearts with Jesus and continually pray for our spiritual and governmental leaders. This week, PSN invites you to these urgent conference call prayer meetings scheduled for Wed., 10/4 & Sat., 10/11:

Joshua’s Lesson: Joining God’s Side
In these challenging days of uncertainty, there is something we can be certain about: THE TRUTH IN THE BIBLE! Unless our prayers and decisions are based on the Word of God, we will find ourselves in “sinking sand.” However, when we join God’s side and build our foundation upon the ROCK, we will experience what Joshua experienced in his battles of claiming “The Promised Land.”
Joshua 5:13-15 (Just prior to Israel’s victory at Jericho):
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does my Lord have for his servant?" The commander of the LORD's army replied, "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.
Joshua was victorious at Jericho because he humbled himself before God and willingly joined the Lord’s side rather than asking him to join Israel’s side. General Washington and President Lincoln did the same during our nation’s most difficult days.
Current events in the Middle East, Afghanistan, India, Russia & America ought to bring us to our knees, with hearts that are consecrated to do the Father’s will. Any other attempt will only give greater power to “the enemy of our souls” who will continue to steal, to kill and to destroy. Will the Church allow God to correct us and use us for His purposes?
Let us seek His Kingdom rather than attempting to build our own!
