Dear Brothers and Sisters:

As we countdown to the 10 Year Anniversary of Prayer Surge NOW! National Prayer Conference Calling, I am encouraged about last weekend's release of the movie Dunkirk in theaters across America.  As I mentioned in 10 Years of Amazing Grace, Part 1 (below this letter, sent July 18), I began was reading Rees Howells: Intercessor during our driving trip from California to Washington, D.C.  Chapter 34 (click here) of this remarkable book is all about prevailing intercession on behalf of the 400,000 British, French, and Dutch troops about to be annihilated on the beach of Dunkirk, France, May 1940.  I highly recommend watching this movie and finding out how God answers the prayers of Rees Howells and his group of intercessors.  In fact, I purposely watched Dunkirk movie yesterday in preparation for this letter to you.  

How does what took place in Dunkirk 77 years ago relate to the past 10 years of Prayer Surge NOW! and the "Next 10 Years: Let Us Surge TOGETHER in CHRIST for Revival Fire!?"  A major miracle - "exceedingly abundantly above" all that Prime Minister Churchell and the British commanders could ever imagine or hope for - was required for the deliverance of most of the 400,000 young men surrounded by the Nazi forces.  Without such a supernatural response from God, only death, and destruction would have prevailed, and an early WWII victory for Hitler.  We experienced a major miracle within the first few months of PSN prayer calls as Baghdad, Al Anbar Province and most of Iraq became significantly secure.  Yes, the demonic forces regrouped in recent years and used ISIS to unleash devastation starting in 2014.  Nevertheless, as  the intercessors across America and beyond joined forces with the LORD and one another, we are once again experiencing victory over the wicked spirits in Iraq.  As for our own cities, states, nation, we must see ourselves act as the "first responders" in the breach/invasion of our "homeland security" and desperately seek God's face for His deliverance and destiny.  Our desperate hope in our LORD and Savior will/must prevent the horrific devastation coming our way.   

Let me be clear.  It is the LORD who deserves ALL glory and honor for releasing HIS justice and liberty in the Middle East as well as in our homeland.  Also, the PSN intercessors are among the millions around the world engaging in intercession/spiritual warfare on behalf of those facing "Dunkirk moments" in Israel, America, the nations.  We are assigned by our COMMANDER IN CHIEF to continually SURGE TOGETHER in CHRIST for HIS REVIVAL FIRE to fall in our cities/regions as well as uttermost part of the earth!

In Prayer Surge NOW! posting on May 30, 2007, I included: "You are more responsible for this victory today than those men on the battlefield." Rees Howells spoke these words to his group of intercessors as the British soldiers were about to be destroyed by the Nazis at Dunkirk on May 17, 1940. The Lord heard the cries of Mr. Howells and his intercessors and delivered the soldiers. (Ch. 34 of Rees Howells, Intercessor by Norman Grubb)  How true is Mr. Howells' quote TODAY of us as Christ's intercessors and for the next 10 years: Let Us Surge TOGETHER in CHRIST for Revival Fire!

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

As we countdown to the 10 Year Anniversary of Prayer Surge NOW! National Prayer Conference Calling, I would like to personally thank you for these incredible years of prayer together, partnership in our Father's Kingdom, and your giving that allows me to continue to serve our Risen Lord by inviting intercessors across America in "Partnering with CHRIST for REVIVAL in Israel, America and the Nations."

TODAY begins 1 month countdown to 10 years of unbroken weekly Saturdaymorning national prayer calls.  Let us acknowledge God's faithfulness and grace in granting us the high privilege of united intercession for a such as season as this in the history our nation, the Middle East, and beyond.  Starting today, you will receive a weekly letter of both "Personal/Family Story" and ministry "PSN Remembrance of God's Faithfulness" to encourage each of you draw closer to Christ and as inspiration towards Next 10 Years: Let Us Surge TOGETHER in CHRIST for Revival Fire!  Please take a few minutes to read the rest of this first (in a series of five) letter from my heart to yours.

PSN Remembrance of God's Faithfulness

As you may know, the vision of Prayer Surge NOW! (PSN) was birthed by God in May through the hearts of a few faithful men in Washington, D.C., approximately 100 days prior to our very first national conference call prayer on August 18, 2007.  The Lord used the following ways to download His desire for Prayer Surge NOW!:

• On January 10, 2007, during the horrific days of the war in Iraq, President George W. Bush ordered "Iraq War Troop Surge" and authorized 20,000 additional soldiers to provide security to Baghdad and Al Anbar Province.
• In late March/early April, while fasting for a day in Southern California, I sensed God's calling my family and me to temporally move to DC and serve with Dick Simmons, Men for Nations.  Dick welcomes us to DC.
• A few weeks later, we embarked in a 5000 mile driving trip to DC (see "Personal/Family Story" below).  In the middle of this trip, I started reading "Rees Howells: Intercessor" which includes supernatural stories of how WWII in Europe was won.  We arrive on May 2.
• Over the next several days, while praying with Dick, Mark Benz, Pierre Bynum, Tom Smith (over the phone) and other men, troop surge became our major intercessory focus.  We gain confidence that the Lord is calling for a national surge of prayer for success of our military, protection of Israel, and salvation of Muslims.
• Prayer Surge NOW! is "officially" lunched on May 21 through the following 2 brief paragraphs titled "Prayer Surge Welcomes You to Intercede" posted by Joe Walsh (then in Sacramento):

     "Prayer Surge is dedicated to calling forth the Body of Christ to STAND IN THE GAP on behalf of 156,000 American troops and the millions of Iraqis. Will you join us in praying and inviting others to do the same?

     The recent Troop Surge is not the answer unless we invite the Holy Spirit to bring God's victory, peace and security in Iraq. This not about USA versus Iraq or Christians versus Muslims. It is about God restoring His rule in this ancient land and bringing revival to our land. Let us approach the throne of grace in the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14!"
