The crowd on the National Mall was estimated to be over 100,000. The numbers that watched “The Return” via streaming and social media platforms was over 10 million. Those who took part of “The Return” in places such as Africa, India, and southeast Asia numbered into the tens of millions. Video of the “The Return” became available the next day at TheReturn.org. President Trump and the First Lady proclaimed a Presidential Message on the National Day of Prayer and Return on September 26, stating, “On this inaugural National Day of Prayer and Return, the First Lady and I join millions of Christians here in the United States and around the world in prayer, as we turn our hearts to our Lord and Savior.”

Our country is being torn apart by division. People are feeling more disconnected than ever before. And as Americans have stayed home, social media has provided controversies to feed this spirit of division.
From October 9th to October 24th, we are inviting churches to review and share a roundtable discussion on unity produced by Promise Keepers. The roundtable features leaders from across racial and denominational lines—Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, Pastor AR Bernard, Sen. James Lankford, Pastor Donald Burgs, Chad Hennings, and moderated by Ken Harrison.
THEN for Promise 6 Sunday (Oct. 25th), we are calling upon individuals, churches, or life groups to commit to participating in a unity-building activity, such as:
- Meeting up with members of another church for a potluck in a local park or connecting with another family over dinner
- Commit to volunteer on a community service project with another church, crossing denominational or racial lines
- As a COVID-sensitive option for churches, consider trading pulpits for a single Sunday morning with a pastor whose congregation is located on the other side of your town, or whose congregational makeup is different from yours
- Commit to working alongside another church or plan ways to work together in a local ministry/service project
