9/1, 9/8 & 9/15 Joint Prayer Meetings Across America

In approximately 2 weeks, General Petraeus will give the highly crucial "troop surge" assessment (the current key strategy of Operation Iraqi Freedom) to the United States Congress.

What will be the content of the report concerning the "troop surge" and the Government of Iraq led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki?
How will Capitol Hill respond?
Will President Bush's resolve remain strong?

Can our prayers make the difference?

Do you believe that God is poised to bring a MIGHTY REVIVAL to the Middle East and the GREATEST AWAKENING to America? If your answer is "YES!", you are encouraged to join us on 9/1, 9/8 & 9/15 for:

UNITY among God's people

Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to "come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need." The nations of Iraq & United States (and the political & military leadership) will succeed with MERCY & GRACE flowing from GOD'S THRONE.

Luke 11:5-8 is an open invitation to go to our Mighty Friend, even at midnight, for food on behalf of our hungry friends. As we see the our troops and the Iraqis as our friends in need of Jesus & His Mighty Arms of Salvation, we be confident that our persistent intercession for Operation Iraqi Freedom will prevail. (Eighth Lesson of With Christ in the School of Prayer, Andrew Murray)

Please gather in your prayer cell groups and connect with us for the first 30 minutes of the joint prayer meetings.

Psalm 60
By W.B., Intercessor from Pennsylvania

What particularly struck me with this prayer of David was how he starts. "You have rejected us, broken our defenses; you have been angry.., you have made your people see hard things," etc. It still amazes me how guys running around in sweat suits in Iraq are causing so many problems for the greatest war machine in history. I believe it's simple---- "O God, you have rejected us!" Yet when David cries, "Oh, restore us.... That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer us," God responds "in his holiness." His response reminds David just Whose army this really is, and The Blessed Trinity's victory over the enemies. David sums up his prayer, "With God we shall do valiantly...." Then he makes this declaration: He will tread down our foes."

Prayer: Father, in Jesus' Name, there is just no success without You. Forgive us all, our political leaders, our church leaders, of the arrogance of self reliance, the perversion perpetrated in the 1960s, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." Father, we confess that we can do nothing, no matter what we "put...to it!" Speak to us, Your Church, our nations in Your Holiness. Do not let us be deceived by any earthly power. "You have set up a banner (Jesus Christ) for those who fear you, that they may flee to it (Him) from the bow." May our President, our military, and Your Church "flee to" and embrace Your "Banner." Amen.
